Orange Soda Syrup with Calendula and Cardamom

This orange soda syrup with calendula and cardamom is refreshing added to soda water, or mixed into a cocktail.

This recipe is super easy to make and will stay fresh in the fridge for about a week, but we doubt it will last that long.

Ingredients needed:

1 2/3 cups orange juice

1/2 cup water

1/4 cup dried calendula petals

1/4 cup sugar

1 tsp inner cardamom seeds

1 pinch salt

To make your syrup, combine the ingredients in a saucepan and keep on low heat on the stove for 20 to 40 minutes. The longer the syrup stays on the stove, the stronger it will taste.

The amount of sugar listed makes a fairly tangy soda, so if you prefer more sweetness simply increase the quantity of sugar used.
