Spiced Dandelion Root Bitters

This recipe takes about three weeks to infuse, and if you plan ahead it makes an excellent holiday gift. It will make approximately 250ml of finished bitters.

Try these alone or as part of a post-meal cocktail. These bitters are a delicious way help to stimulate digestion, as well as to reduce gas and bloating.

In a jar with a lid, combine the below ingredients.

1 tsp cinnamon bark

1 tsp angelica root

12 whole cardamom pods

1 tsp dried orange peel

2 tbsp dried dandelion root

1 ½ cups vodka

Allow to infuse for three weeks before straining through cheesecloth. Once this recipe is complete it does not need to be refrigerated, simply store it in a sealed bottle or jar away from sunlight. This recipe makes approximately 250ml of finished bitters.
