Calendula-Infused Oil Recipe

Calendula-Infused Oil

Infusing calendula flowers into a nourishing carrier oil creates a simple, soothing herbal oil that’s perfect for daily skin care, dry or sensitive skin, and relaxing massage. This slow infusion method allows the beneficial plant compounds to fully meld with the oil, resulting in a beautifully golden infusion.

Recipe Instructions

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Fill a clean glass jar halfway with organic calendula flowers.
  2. Pour your chosen carrier oil over the herbs until the jar is full and the flowers are completely submerged.
  3. Secure a tight-fitting lid, shake gently, and place the jar in a warm, sunny windowsill.
  4. Allow the oil to infuse for 4–6 weeks, shaking the jar daily to encourage extraction.
  5. Once infused, strain out the plant material using cheesecloth or muslin, squeezing well to extract all of the oil.

Storage & Use

Transfer the finished calendula-infused oil to a clean bottle and store it in a cool, dark place. Depending on the shelf life of the carrier oil used, it will keep for 6 months to 1 year.

Use as a massage oil, body oil, or as a nourishing base for homemade salves and balms.
